Dana White’s Contender Series 5, Week 9 Results: Five fighters earn UFC contracts
Dana White’s Contender Series was back in action on Tuesday with this season’s ninth event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
In the featured fight, middleweight Gadzhi Omargadzhiev kept his undefeated record in tact and extended his unbeaten streak to 13. He also pulled off the first knee bar victory in DWCS history. The submission win earned the Russian a UFC contract.
Four other fighters were awarded contracts with the fight promotion. Christian Quinonez, Javid Basharat, Karine Silva, and Manuel Torres for their performances on Tuesday. Following the night of fights, UFC president Dana White announced the contract winners.
