MyDearest, Inc. and IzanagiGames began streaming a trailer for the DYSCHRONIA: Chronos Alternate virtual reality game on Thursday. The companies also revealed during an online press conference for the game that they will release the game in three episodes for Oculus and SteamVR, and will release the game for Nintendo Switch as a complete package comprising all three episodes.


Shōya Chiba will play the protagonist Hal Scion in the Japanese version of the game. Other cast members include:

  • Ai Fairouz as Systelia
  • Yū Serizawa as Airi Clover
  • Yūsuke Kobayashi as Ash Shepherd
  • Junichi Suwabe as Keith Tozaki

  • Akari Kitō as Lily

The game will also include an English dub and English subtitles. Jesse Inocalla stars as Hal Scion in the English dub.

Episode 1 of the game will launch in spring 2022, Episode 2 in summer 2022, and Episode 3 in winter 2022. The compiled Nintendo Switch release of the game is slated for winter 2022.

The game’s Campfire crowdfunding campaign reached its goal of 4 million yen (about US$35,000) in four minutes when it launched on Friday.

The game will take place in the “Chronos Universe,” which is where the company’s ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos and TOKYO CHRONOS games take place.

ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos launched for Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift on December 3, then launched on SteamVR on February 19 and PlayStation VR on April 15. The single-player VR adventure game features English and Japanese audio tracks and subtitles in English, Japanese, Chinese, French, and German.

Sekai Project launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Tokyo Chronos visual novel in July 2018, and the campaign raised US$90,625, surpassing the original funding goal of US$75,000. The game launched for Oculus and Vive via Steam in March 2019, and then launched physically and digitally for PlayStation VR in August 2019 in Japan. Sekai Games also released the game for PS VR in August 2019.
