Aliens are invading Fortnite, and players can get their hands on some of their high-tech weaponry. Here’s all of the new weapons in Fortnite Season 7.

After an entire season themed around Primal instincts, Season 7 is a bit of a leap in terms of weaponry. Season 6 forced players to use bows, makeshift weapons, and animal bones. Now, players can fling cars, shoot lasers, and fly UFOs.

Laser weapons have been requested since Fortnite became popular in 2017. However, we’ve never received any sci-fi weapons until now. Players can discover and use an arsenal of new weapons in Fortnite Season 7.

Fortnite Rail Gun Rifle

The Rail Gun is a new futuristic sniper rifle that has been added during Fortnite Season 7. It can be found in Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities. The Rail Gun can also be used to easily dismantle opponents’ builds and deal massive amounts of damage to players.

Fortnite Recon Scanner Launcher

This new weapon deals a good amount of damage, but might be more useful as a utility. The Recon Laucnher functions similar to a Grenade Launcher, but the projectile it shoots marks nearby enemies instead of exploding. Think a Flare Gun that requires more precision. It can also mark nearby chests which makes it handy for looting.

Fortnite Pulse Rifle

The Pulse Rifle is Fortnite’s new Assault Rifle. It fires faster from the hip than it does when aiming down sights. The Pulse rifle comes in Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities. A Mythic variant can also be obtained by defeating the Dr. Slone mini-boss at the center of the map.

Fortnite Kymera Ray Gun

The Kymera Ray Gun is a truly unique weapon as it doesn’t fire projectiles. Instead, it fires a continuous laser beam. The beam isn’t super deadly as it only deals a max of 11 damage to players per tick. The new weapon can be found in Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities.

Fortnite season 7 superman

Clark Kent aka Superman has finally made his way into Fortnite following various other DC characters. Here’s how players can get the Superman skin in Fortnite Season 7.

Superman is part of the Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass which means players will have to work a little bit to get him. Luckily, players who have an active Fortnite Crew subscription will already have access to this season’s Battle Pass.

However, he is easier to unlock than you’d think. Since Fortnite Season 7 features the return of the Battle Star system, players only need to earn enough stars to unlock him. The Battle Star system allows players to unlock Battle Pass items in the order that they want. While other skins can be unlocked in a timely manner, Superman is locked behind a countdown timer.

Superman set and costs

Players will have to wait 65 days to unlock Superman as his cosmetics can’t be purchased until August 12. His set will still need to be purchased with Battle Stars, and players should have plenty racked up by then. However, Superman’s full set is pretty extensive.

As seen below, Superman’s entire set consists of 11 different pieces. Like the Tony Stark skin, Clark Kent is the base skin players will need to unlock. Afterward, they can purchase different styles including the Superman costume. The second Superman style is called Shadow Superman.

The Superman skin in Fortnite also comes with a Back Bling and pickaxe. To top it all off, Superman has a special cape that only he can wear. This cape also acts as a glider that allows him to fly into battle. While he may look like the man of steel, he’s still very susceptible to taking damage from bullets, laser beams, and even vehicles.

While players have to wait until August to claim their Superman cosmetics, its exciting to see another one of DCs main heroes make it into Fortnite. With the addition of The Flash, Batman, and Aquaman, it was only a matter of time before Superman made it onto the roster.

fortnite season 7 map changes

The Fortnite Season 7 map has undergone a lot of changes after facing an alien invasion, and this article will cover all of the big one.

The map changes with each new season of Fortnite. Sometimes these changes are quite drastic like in Chapter 2 Season 5, and sometimes they are more subtle like in Chapter 2 Season 2. The Fortnite Season 7 map has taken a more subtle approach with its changes, but there is still plenty to discover.

The image below shows the new map with each large POI labeled. The most noticeable difference between Season 6 and 7 is the removal of The Spire and the orange forests. Like in Season 5, a new large POI hasn’t formed in the middle of the map. Instead, a large hole serves as a reminder of what was taken.

Fortnite Season 7 new POIs

Sadly, there aren’t any new POIs this season. Instead, Fortnite has revamped some of its most notable locations and added various small landmarks. There are purple locations scattered around the map where players can find aliens and sci-fi weaponry.

The biggest and most welcome change to the map is the addition of Corny Complex. This is a new farm POI that finally makes up for the loss of Frenzy Farm back in Chapter 2 Season 4. Since then, players haven’t been given a proper farm POI. That is, until now.

The second biggest change is Believer Beach which is an overhauled version of Sweaty Sands. It has still maintained a similar layout to Sweaty but carries a more alien theme.

There may be other map changes implemented throughout the season, but for now, these two POIs are all we’ve been given. However, there are a bunch of landmarks around the map for players to discover. Satellite dishes, outpost buildings, and residual alien goop will keep players busy exploring for a few hours at least.

Coral Castle in Fortnite

The last round of weekly Fortnite challenges have been released, one of which requires players to raid an artifact from two of the game’s largest POIs.

It’s the last week of Fortnite Season 6 which means the last set of weekly challenges have been released. This also means that players only have a few days left to level up enough to get the enlightened skins. One of the best ways to level up is by completing each of the weekly challenges.

Some challenges are much easier than other, and some of the worst are the ones that require players to fetch specific items. One of the last weekly challenges this season requires players to raid an artifact from Stealthy Stronghold and Coral Castle. There are three artifacts at each POI, but players need only collect one from each.

Below are two enlarged images of Stealthy Stronghold and Coral Castle. These are two of the largest POIs on the map, and they are also close to one another. If a player drops and starts at Coral Castle, they can quickly swim over to Stealthy Stronghold and complete this quest in one match.

These artifacts that players have to find can be a bit tricky to pinpoint. However, each one is surrounded by a glowing blue aura which makes them easier to see. They also emit a mysterious noise when nearby. If a player goes to the points marked on the maps below, they will find the artifacts in no time.

In order to raid an artifact, players will need to approach the artifact and press the action button/key. Once they’ve raided an artifact from each location, the quest will be complete. Completing this quest will reward the player with 24k experience points.

Those looking to unlock the gold enlightened skins or the Battle Pass skin variants will want to complete as many challenges as they can. Season 6 of Fortnite ends in just a few days on June 7th. Once the season ends, these skins will be gone forever.
