The annual Fortnitemares event is back, and players once again have the chance to snag some free limited-time cosmetic rewards.
October is the spookiest time of year, and Fortnite has made a tradition to celebrate the Halloween season. Fortnitemares is the annual in-game event that features all sorts of frightful activities.
During Fortnitemares, Epic Games releases a ton of new Halloween-themed cosmetics while releasing some fan favorites from the vault. Players can purchase these items from the Fortnite item shop using V-Bucks.
However, not everyone wants to spend money on seasonal cosmetics. Don’t worry, though. Epic Games has those players covered too. Each year, Fortnitemares gives away free cosmetic rewards to those who complete the Halloween challenges.
Free Fortnitemares 2021 cosmetic rewards
This year, there are five new cosmetics that players can earn by participating in the Fortnitemares challenges. These cosmetics are exclusive to Fortnitemares 2021, so if you miss out you’ll never see them again.

- Cube Cruiser Glider
- Batty Wrap
- Wrathful Breakout Contrail
- All-Weather Extractor Pickaxe
- Thinking Juice Back Bling
Fortnitemares 2021 challenges
The Fortnitemares 2021 challenges haven’t been added just yet, but they will be in the coming weeks. According to HYPEX, we could see these challenges implemented within the next two weeks.
Last year’s challenges were themed around Shadow Midas and completing tasks as a Shadow. However, Fortnite has recently distributed free cosmetic rewards through Creative exclusive challenges.

Fortnite allows players to refund items they purchased using Return Requests. Here is how you can use them to get your V-Bucks back!

Fortnite is allowing players to refund three purchased cosmetic items per year using the improved Return Request feature.
Have you ever accidentally purchased an item from Fortnite’s item shop? Or maybe you purchased a skin or a wrap and it just didn’t look quite the way you hoped it would.
Well, now you can refund items using Return Request tickets! This has been a feature in Fortnite for a while, but players were limited to three refunds per account. Once a Return Request was used, you could not get it back.
However, that’s been changed with the latest update. Players will start will three new Return Requests. Players will then earn back a Return Request exactly 365 days after the most recent use. This means players can earn back one Return Request per year.
How to refund items in Fortnite
You can refund an item you purchased using V-Bucks within 30 days of its purchase. This means that if you bought an item more than a month ago, you can’t refund it. Here are the steps to request a refund in Fortnite.
- From the lobby, open the Settings
- Navigate to the Account and Privacy tab (player silhouette icon)
- Click on Submit a Request
- Select an item from the list provided
- Only the items purchased in the last 30 days will appear
- Click Submit Return Request
- Select Yes
- V-Bucks will be credited to your account
What items can I refund in Fortnite?
You can ONLY return items purchased using V-Bucks. That’s because Fortnite will refund players the exact number of V-Bucks they spent on the item they’re refunding. Here is a list of items you can refund if purchased from the Items Shop
- Back Blings
- Harvesting Tools
- Loading Screens
What items you cannot refund
You cannot refund Real money bundles and Battle Pass items. That’s because Fortnite does not have a way to easily refund real money. It’s also difficult for Fortnite to refund items that fluctuate in value. Here is a list of things you can’t refund in Fortnite.
- Purchased V-Bucks
- Seasonal Battle Pass
- Battle Pass Tiers
- Starter Pack
- Real-Money Bundles

Here’s a map of all of the NPCs in Fortnite Season 8. We’ll keep this updated over the course of the season as more appear or are found around the map. Bigfoot, for instance, is missing from this list. We’re not sure whether that’s because he isn’t there or just hasn’t been found yet.
- Disguised man: offers a prop disguise
- Pink Rift: allows you to activate a Rift
- Yellow Cloud: Reveal Future Storm Circle
Compared to seasons past, the number of Fortnite character locations in Season 8 is very minimal. As well, players can no longer upgrade weapons through NPCs. The pool of Mythic weapons has also been minimized.

Reaching level 100 in Fortnite can be hard, but not anymore. Here’s the fastest way to level up and earn XP in Fortnite Season 8.

October 13, 2021
Fortnite Season 8 has switched up the way players earn XP, and it makes leveling up the traditional way pretty hard. Here is how players can level up fast and reach tier 100 in no time.
At the start of each season, your player level in Fortnite is set back to 0. Players strive to climb back up to level 100 as quickly as possible. However, it can be quite a grind to earn all that XP.
Level 100 is even more enticing for Battle Pass owners. Reaching level 100 and beyond rewards BP owners with tons of cool cosmetics. And there is a pretty fast way to level up in Fortnite Season 8.
At the start of Season 8, players would spend tens of hours in the Impostors mode to gain loads of XP. Now that Impostors mode has been nerfed, there are a few other ways to earn XP fast.
Leveling up in Fortnite Impostor Mode
Fortnite’s Impostor mode was the easiest and fastest way to level up in Season 8. However, the amount of XP players can earn from the mode has been cut in half again. But that doesn’t mean players can’t still use the mode to level up.

You can play Impostor mode in public lobbies to earn XP, but it’s much easier to level up in Private lobbies. You will need at least four people in your party to play a private match. Here are the amounts of XP you will earn for performing actions:
Agents & Impostor XP
- Complete tasks as Agent – 1,000 XP
- Play a match – 500 XP
- Spend time playing match – 350 XP
- Complete a match – 1,000 XP
- Win a match – 1,000 XP
- Perform a Sabotage as Impostor – 500 XP
- Eliminate Agents as Impostor – 500 XP
Some of the above tasks are multiplied by the number of times they are completed. For example, every task or player killed will reward players with the amount of XP listed. With a group of four, the Impostor can continuously spam the Peely Party sabotage while Agents complete tasks.
Completing Weekly/Daily Punchcards
There is also the more traditional route of earning XP via completing weekly challenges. However, Fortnite Season 8 has completely changed how weekly challenges work. Instead of being given tasks at the start of the week, players have to interact with the NPCs on the Island.

There are currently 23 characters on the island, and each one will give the player five different quests. Players can earn between 80k and 150k XP from each character, and they can earn 2.11 million XP by completing all 23 quest punchcards.
There are also daily and weekly punchcards that offer minimal XP. By completing the character punchcards, the weekly and daily ones will be completed as well.
Repeatable Quests for XP
Epic Games also stated it would be making changes to the Season 8 XP system, and it has pulled through. All of the repeatable Quests players get from NPCs have had their XP substantially increased.
Repeatable quests are the simple tasks players get by talking to NPCs on The Island. These are not the same as Punchcard Quests, and they can be repeated an endless number of times to gain XP.
