How to duel characters in Fortnite Season 5

The Fortnite Season 5 Week 15 Legendary quest forces players to duel NPCs around the map. Here are all of the locations you need to visit.

Fortnite Season 5 is nearly over, with the Week 15 challenges putting a bow on the season. Surprisingly, these challenges are incredibly simple to complete – provided that you know where to go.

The Legendary challenge for the week requires us to visit specific NPCs and challenge them to duels. Here are the characters in Fortnite that offer duels to players.

Duel characters locations

Not all NPCs in Fortnite allow you to fight them. In fact, there are only a handful of characters that offer duels to players These include:

• Ruckus
• Kit
• Big Chuggus
• Ragnarok
• Blaze
• Brutus
• Mandalorian
• Kondor
• Menace

Not only will dueling these characters give you XP from the Week 15 Legendary challenge, but you’ll be able to get a free weapon from the character you fight.

Here’s a location of all of the duelist NPCs on the Fortnite island.

Some of these characters spawn in multiple locations, so we suggest farming Kit, Kondor, Ruckus, and Ragnarok. Misty Meadows is a hot drop, so Kondor may be the most difficult of the group.

You’ll need to duel 25 characters to get all of the rewards, so you may want to hit the bottom of the map for a few games until you get all the XP you need. Good luck!

One of the Fortnite Season 5 Week 15 challenges requires players to hire a character. Here’s where you can find these NPCs to hire.

Fortnite Season 6 is less than a week away, which means that time is running out to finish the Battle Pass and work your way through the Enlightened Season 5 skins.

In week 15 – the final week of challenges – players are required to hire characters. Here are the locations you need to visit to hire a character and earn 40,000 XP.

Hire NPCs in Fortnite Season 5

There are plenty of NPCs around the Fortnite island, but only a handful of them allow you to hire them for their services. More NPCs allow you to hire them than to duel them, but you’ll still need to know where to go. These characters include:

• Lexa
• Reese
• Mancake
• Mave
• Bullseye
• Bandolier
• Longshot
• Remedy
• Bushranger
• Doggo
• Fishstick

A few of these NPCs have two possible spawn locations, so it’s probably a good idea to aim for characters like Mancake, Lexa, or Reese who spawn in the same spot in every game. Remember, you only need to hire one character to complete this challenge.

It’s time for the final week of Fortnite Season 5, and a crash-course in all of the challenges you haven’t completed up until this point.

Luckily, the Season 5 Week 15 challenges might be the easiest we’ve seen all season. As long as you have some Gold Bars handy, this one is going to be a breeze. Let’s get into it.

Fortnite Season 5 Week 15 Quests

• Distance traveled through sand (500)
• Spend 5 seconds within 20 meters of enemies while sand tunneling (5)
• Spend Bars (500)
• Purchase an item from a character (1)
• Upgrade a weapon (1)
• Get intel from a character (1)
• Hire a character (1)

The Fortnite Season 5 challenges release in stages, which means you can’t cram all of these into one match. If you could, you could probably finish all of them by visiting one or two NPCs on the island.

We’ve linked the location of NPCs that allow you to upgrade weapons and sell Exotics. There’s an Exotic sale going on right now, but you could purchase any old item from one of the Fortnite characters. Some of them sell things like Apples for dirt cheap.

The Legendary Quest for the week will have you dueling 25 characters. These are NPCs around the map that allow you to fight them for a free item. Not all of the NPCs off you this opportunity, but there are quite a bit of them.

We suggest checking in with any of the NPCs you see until you finish the challenge. Be careful, though, you never know who’s watching.

The Fortnite Season 5 Week 14 challenges require players to collect Cookbooks from Pleasant Park and Craggy Cliffs. Here are all of the locations you need to visit.

This week’s Fortnite challenges are relatively easy to complete without much effort. There is one that will take a bit of searching, however. Players need to collect Cookbooks from Pleasant Park and Craggy Cliffs to receive 20,000 XP.

Once you know where to go, the challenge won’t be too hard. Lucky for you, we found these locations and placed map markers so you know where to look.

Pleasant Park Cookbook locations

Pleasant Park has been a hot drop since Fortnite’s initial release, and it’s only gotten hotter with recent updates. It will be a bit of a chore to find all of the Pleasant Park Cookbooks in a normal match but could be quite easy in a game of Team Rumble.

The Pleasant Park Cookbooks can be found in the following locations. All of them are located in the kitchen of each of these houses:

• “Doghouse” in the kitchen on the bottom floor
• The brick house to the northwest
• The brick house on the west side of the POI
• The large, gray house next to the brick house
• The small, or “poverty” house in the southwest corner

Craggy Cliffs Cookbook locations

There are only four Cookbooks at Craggy Cliffs, but that’s not a huge issue. You only need to find four of them anyway, so you can complete this challenge in one match – provided that no one is contesting you.

There are a couple of kitchens in Craggy, but these Cookbooks are a bit more hidden than they are in Pleasant. You can find them each:

• The boathouse, or factory, to the east, on the ground floor
• The bottom floor of the clock tower
• In the kitchen of the large, white house to the west
• Next to the above house, in the kitchen next to the fridge (ground floor, not the basement)

Provided that you’re going for this challenge in Team Rumble, it should only take one game for you to collect the four Cookbooks. After that, you can move onto easier challenges like dealing damage to players.
