Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce didn’t hold back when discussing Ben Simmons and the drama with the 76ers.

Countless folks all over Philadelphia have had it with 76ers standout Ben Simmons. It’s clear he simply doesn’t want to continue playing for the team. There was the drama of him being thrown out of practice and also being suspended for the season-opener that stole headlines this week.

Simmons wants a trade and it doesn’t look like he’ll be happy until that gets done. If you ask Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce, though, he thinks that all of this could have been avoided. Kelce didn’t hold back with his latest comments.

Kelce: “All of that is because a lack of accountability, a lack of owning up to mistakes, a lack of correcting things. If all that got corrected — you fix some free throws, you’re getting better as a player — none of this is happening.”

Jason Kelce thinks Ben Simmons could have taken more accountability

“All of that is because a lack of accountability, a lack of owning up to mistakes, a lack of correcting things,” Kelce said with passion on Thursday. “If all that got corrected — you fix some free throws, you’re getting better as a player — none of this is happening.”

Whoa. Kelce is beloved all over Philadelphia, but the opposite is the case for Simmons right now. A large chunk of 76ers fans want him out of town. Simmons has been seen miserable at practices and showing no interest in trying to help this team get better.

Even Joel Embiid has had enough, as the star big man came out and said that he’s not worried about Simmons at all. The player chemistry for the 76ers is essentially being ruined right now. It’s something Doc Rivers won’t stand for either.

No one knows exactly what will happen with Simmons in the near future. For Kelce, though, he thinks Simmons needs to show a little more maturity and handle this way differently.
