Back in 2013, Nick Jonas broke the internet with a shirtless photo seen ’round the world. It was a groundbreaking moment for his career, allowing him to break free from his Disney past and setting him forth on a new, less clothed, and all around sexier solo journey. Since then, he’s dropped two albums, released several top-charting songs, and hosted SNL.
Eight years later, the former boy band member’s at it again…and hoping we all forget that he and his two brothers wore purity rings for fun. This week, Jonas dropped yet another shirtless photo on Instagram, looking noticeably more jacked than years’ prior and in nothing but short shorts, gym socks, and a pair of sneakers.
The photo is an apparent still from his upcoming music video for “Spaceman,” out on Thursday.

For Jonas, keeping in top pop star shape is crucial. In 2007, the singer opened up for the first time about his struggle with type 1 diabetes. “[I was] barely 100 pounds after having lost so much weight from my blood sugar being so high before going to the doctor where I would find out I was diabetic,” he captioned a November 2018 Instagram post detailing his journey. “… I have full control of my day to day life with this disease, and I’m so grateful to my family and loved ones who have helped me every step of the way.”
We’re guessing millions of other people on social media are grateful now, too.
