Guitarists: Are you sick of lugging around a heavy hard-shell case but afraid your electric isn’t going to get the safety it needs from a soft case? Try the GL Guitar Series Electric Guitar Case by Gator Cases, a hybrid case offering the durability of a hard case with the lightness of a gig bag. With an exterior of heavy-duty, water-resistant nylon and an interior of EPS foam and plush fabric, your guitar will be well protected from road wear or any other potential harm. You have plenty of room to store a few pedals, strings, and other accessories on the inner grooves of the case’s interior. There are also two more pockets on the outside of the case for additional storage.

It will fit most of the commonly played guitars like Strats, Teles, Les Pauls, and SGs, but if you’d like to see if it will fit yours, you can visit gatorcases.com and enter in your guitar’s dimensions.

Like most Gator products I’ve used, this case didn’t disappoint. It was a perfect fit for my Telecaster as it was a fraction of the weight of my normal road case, my guitar never got jostled or compromised from traveling, and the case itself held up beautifully despite being packed in a car full of gear. I’m interested to see how it would fare with more extensive touring or air travel (especially if you were to check it), but it is a great option for local shows. I’d also love it if there were backpack-style straps installed vs. the current removable nylon strap option for transporting it. However, it’s not a dealbreaker as it has made gigging so much easier. How can you say “no” to a road-tough, affordably priced case with a lifetime warranty?

Ultimately, this is truly the answer for anyone who is sick to death of hauling heavy gear but still wants the security of a hard case. Once you’ve tried this case on for size, you’ll be saying “later, gator!” to the competition.
