Per multiple reports, Manchester United has agreed to personal terms with Real Madrid center back Raphael Varane ahead of a potential transfer from Real Madrid.
It looks like we’re at the finish line here in terms of Real Madrid and Manchester United working a deal for the transfer of Raphael Varane. The superstar center back has made it clear to the Spanish side that he wants a new challenge in the Premier League.
Now, with only one year left on his contract, Real Madrid understands they might be forced to sell Varane now so he doesn’t leave for free next summer. Per journalist Julien Maynard, United and Varane have come to an agreement on personal terms. Now, it’s up to Madrid and United to agree to a fee.

Should United get things done here, it’d add to the memorable transfer window thus far. The Old Trafford club has already made a blockbuster move to land Jadon Sancho, and now they’re hoping to make another big splash for Varane.
If that were to happen, Varane and Harry Maguire would team up to own the middle of the defense for Manchester United. That’d form one of the best duos in the EPL, no doubt about that. With that said, it’s looking like this could actually go down.
With Manchester United in the middle of its preseason games, they’d of course look to try and wrap things up as soon as possible. Meanwhile for Real Madrid, they’re in a financial bind and is open to selling the star defender. Stay tuned, folks. We could have our answer on Varane’s future here soon, but it looks like he’s going to be heading to England soon enough for a new chapter in his glorious career.
