Koei Tecmo hosted a 40th anniversary celebration for Kou Shibusawa—which is both the pseudonym of Koei co-founder Youichi Erikawa and the banner under which Koei Tecmo’s historical games fall—and a new title announcement made its way out into the wild. The event revealed that there’s a new game set in the world of the long-running Romance of the Three Kingdom series, and this time it’s an action game by Nioh developers Team Ninja.
Typically, when a new Three Kingdoms game is announced, players expect more historical strategy. While there are no details, hopefully we’ll get the same tight action for which Team Ninja is known.
