Susan Wright (R) on Saturday night won Texas’ 6th congressional district special election for the House, AP reports.
Why it matters: Wright will replace her husband, Rep. Ron Wright (R), who died in February from COVID-19. Susan Wright received a last minute endorsement from former President Trump earlier this week, becoming the only Republican candidate of 11 in the race who received his support, per the Texas Tribune.
